I am Charlotte Virginia Haines Soloway,daughter of Mary Haines McCabe. I reside in Rhode Island, USA. I was born, at home,on June 24, 1934 in Hartley Settlement (Centreville), New Brunswick, Canada I am dedicating .My Home Page to my " North American Family", in particular, and to the memory of my mother, Mary Edwina Haines McCabe. Because I am the "senior member" of my generation, my plan is to write about "Growing up in Hartley Settlement, NB"..."on the Haines Farm", in hopes that my memories will be of interest to all my family, especially to all the younger generations, in this century, as well as our future generation, who will "ring in the new millennium..." I have chosen "The Daisy" because it has a special m aning to me....a chain of daisies link us togetherl in love and friendship. It is one of my daughter Dale's, favorite flowesr. My mother too loved the daisy. Do you all remember, as children, plucking each petal and saying "he/she loves me", " he/she loves me not" ? Hoping that the last petal will tell me "he/she loves me"... |

Some of my interests are: Computers/Technology, Kid's Stuff,Movies/TV,Music: Country/ Rock and Roll/ R and B/ Bluegrass/?News/Current Events?Pets/Animals?Sports: Fishing?Travel.. My most current interest is,helping to plan and organize our "Haines Family Reinion", with my cousin and pal, Monica Armour...
